My 1969 Baldwin Motion Camaro junk car i am calling this one done except for a few small details. Originally i wanted it to be a perfect musclecar but i messed up the decals and the tail stripe so instead of throwing it the garbage this is the result, any and all comments and questions welcome.

Very well done. I love the dents and dings with the rust color against the green of the vehicle.
My only critique would be the area of the car around where the hood would cover (if the hood were in place and closed) I would think that would be much dirtier or oxidized that the rest of the car. Very minor critique at any rate. The junker looks great.
Cheers,
Charles

Thanks Charles i am glad you like it i am not shore about the engine compartment i may still give it a few more dust and rust washes i will work on the last few details to add to the car and take it from there. I like the green and rust to i didn't think it would look good but not to bad.

I like the rusty parts and the bump in the drivers door looks very realistic.
Overall a beautifull wreck! Ar you gonna place it in a little diorama?

Great job. Details are nice, rust is great. You need four cinder blocks or old hunks of tree stumps a bit of tall grass and this would make a great little vignette.

Very impressive piece of work Robert. I'm particularly impressed by the areas where the sheet metal is corroded all the way through. How did you create this effect?

The only nitpick I have is the light rust color of the panel lines. I would give those a dark wash.

Thanks Charles, Scott and Jesper. This car will be going in a diorama with several other period muscle cars but i don' want to give to much away just yet. Jesper you are correct about the panel lines when i did all my rust washes it got into the panel lines i will correct this with a black wash. The way i do my rusted panels is first i grind the backside of the panel down until its paper thin with a cutting bit in my Dremel tool, second from the outside of the panel i punch and twist the holes with an xacto knife making shore the holes are not uniform and third i just weather from the out side like any other panel, the key is getting the plastic as thin as possible with out melting the panel, this gives it a good scale apperance. If any body is interested i may do a small post on how i make the rusted panels for the next car in the dio, Hope that helps.

Thanks Robert, that definitely helps. I never thought of grinding down the body panels, from the backside. A small sbs would be much appreciated.

Nice junk. How did you dent the door like that?

Thanks Kospru, i held a hot soldering iron near the door until the plastic softens and then i pressed the back of an Xacto knife handle into the door, you just have to be careful not to melt the entire door.
