Ok guys you talked me into building a car kit, so I pushed the aircraft and armor kits to the side and dug thru the pile and decided on the Duster kit from AMT. I plan on turning her into a Pro Street dragger turning times of 6.650 at 208.20mpr.

I also thought about a Charger and a Cuda'

While looking at the Charger I thought it should be turned into a Pro Mod, it has that look

I started cleaning the body tonight, and make the wide flat rear wing. I should be stuffing the interior by the weekend.

Happy Modeling,
Joe

Hey...that Duster looks familiar. And it looks mighty cool with those big meats stuffed underneath.

I also couldn't help but notice the JoHan Sox and Martin 'Cuda kit. How long have you had that in the stash? (Yes, I'm jealous.)

Good luck with the project, Joe.

All-friggin-right! Joe's building a fasty! Right on!
Joe, buddy, take LOTS of in-progress pix, because I've still got a 72 GTO (MPC) that I'm turning into a 71 Pro Street and I can always use the inspiration.

You go on now...build away.....don't let us slow ya down.....

...well, if that's all your trying for...
Oh, your not putting keystones on her, are yah?!

I have to say, "yeah, lots of build shots"....I need to see some good fitting shots for my build seeing as I've never done those before. Got hex rod last week, just don't know what to do with it correctly. Also, a "supplier list of what and from whom" would be helpful to those of us who aren't in the know of these things{hand is raised here for me!}. Plumbing is something that currently escapes me and I wish to learn how to rectify that.
Last add-on, that "526" on the rear quarter...ET your shooting for, displacement...or "yes"?, and are you going to try to replicate the C/fiber scoop?

526’ is engine displacement, I may even bump that up. No I will need be using Keystones Rims…learned my lesson the first time

Yes I’ll keep up on all the how’s and what’s

Yes I will replicate carbon fiber, and there was a decal sheet of carbon fiber. I haven’t seen it some time. I did buy it once and didn’t work out well with all those curves and corners. When I get to that point I’ll show how it’s done. It’s pretty easy and looks pretty good.

Very cool Joe i will be watching this one with great interest. The chassis seems to fit the body pretty good considering it doesn't come from the kit.

Geeeeeez ! I opened this thread and thought I'd accidently hit on a porn site. Does three pic's in a row of sex on wheels qualify as porn?

Seriously Joe, I have the answer to your problem of selecting which body to go with.

1. Save the Duster for the race car campaign we'll do one of these days since Yoni already did one a while ago.

2. Send the Cuda' to me.......cause I've got "Cuda" in my callsign. Also because I've had a hard life. Yes, it's true. I once had that Sox & Martin kit............. but the sisters at the orphanage I grew up in took it from me and sold it on eBay......................to pay my room and board.

3. Build the Charger. It's just SICK!

They do look sexy don't they.

Save the Duster for the race car campaign, well it's to late. I already cut and prepped the body and parts. As for the Cuda' kit yes it's a hard one to get. I also have the Richard Petty 64' and 70' Stockcars. The last issue of the Cuda' kit was in the 80's, it can fetch up to $60 bucks. One thing to watch when someone says it's an old kit is to see if it has the UPC label on side of box. JOHON kits had them on their last issues.

In this pic I need to cut the roll bars in front of windshield and remove and redo bars in back window.

I'll have more tonight, I will need to add more to the rollcage using evergreen rod.

Bob this may help with you question on plumbing blower engines.

You decided on a color yet Joe? Gotta say, no one makes fun of a Panther Pink car if it's turning 6.65 at 208 mph. That's my vote.

On a side note, you're the king of racecar builders as far as I've seen.....and that ain't just blowing smoke. So, before you get too far into this build I want ya to take a look at this video. This is one bad machine and I'd like to see someone like yourself build it. See what ya think.
