Hi All,
Well I did think of doing this as a review but I'm putting it out here so as to hear what you all think, The kit is Trumpeters 1/12 GT40 but I'm doing the yellow *8 Alan Mann racing version and also using the KA detail set. biggest complaint is the chrome but heres some pics.
the hopefully finished result.
Thanks for looking
Steve

Nice looking kit.
I've seen there are 2 different car body types from the very beginning of the racing career as well as the modern version that's available for the GT40.
Got any pics of the chrome problems...maybe rattle trumpy's chain for a replacement tree since that kit is a tad pricey so you should get what you pay for.

Bob,
Its not so much a nasty prob but it did take a very strong oven cleaner 30+ hours to get most of the chrome off I have a 2nd lot soaking now and when that is done I may have to do the wheels as well but its a big kit and there is plenty to do I just wish trumpy never did it in the 1st place.
