If I can't figure out the above taillights, here's my backup plan-
alternate taillights
...or these I guess,
another taillights assembly to try
Here's the intended front end for my build-
nice quad headlight frontend
Here's a clearer shot of it-
opentopped quad headlight merc -nice!
...who says 4 doors can't be totally cool?!

Looks like they are 56(?) Packard lenses to me--maybe customized a little.

Hmmmm...I'd almost lean towards the '58s without the lower backup lense..now what's the chrome band around those above..partial oem trim?

Pretty close to 57 Chrysler 300 lenses.......Thanks for the input!

My initial thought was slightly modified '56 chevy taillights.

Maybe they are Lee Plastics aftermarket bubble lenses too--but I cant find any pictures except Mercury lenses that fit the stock housings.

I found it!{a fine help you lot are-hehehe...JOKING!}
Check down to the 25th car...bingo! - '55 plymouth tail lights...hey, who knew?!{and I'm supposed to be the mopar nut}
custom cars vol1
Check out car 21 with the dual packard lights top and bottom..neat idea!
I like pages like this one since they spell out what's on what...really helps me out for reference!
Heck..check them all out for ideas...note the '60 chevy, t-bird and the '65 rivi towards the bottom of the page...easily done up with available models now-a-days.

Hmmmm...yah know.....if there was enough interest here in this section I'd consider making a campaign up for a custom campaign build-
-maybe take one kit and have everyone build it their way...that would be interesting!
-or-
-just have everyone make their own custom up...maybe like minimum 25% body mods or something. Hey, with AMT releasing alot of the old custom pieces in with alot of their kits...the '50 ford "nostalgic" version with the canted quad headlights{not the regular '50 ford kit}, the 62 olds, '63 ford galaxie, '61 styline ford...and others...it would make this type of a campaign an easy one. Or, you could be crazy like me and try it all scratched.

For those who are interested, aside from me, Modelhaus has both the '55 plymouth and '56 packard tail lights in chrome and red - @ $2.50 a set each.
Look under his parts section and plug them in...
No, I don't know what the difference is between the red and chrome is...yet!

This reminds me- I need to aquire a "parts by parks" and "maryland miniatures"{?} catologs for future ideas....wish they were on the web!

Well I was almost close on the year! lol. I knew I saw those lights someplace and I think that Lee Plastics did do a bubble set real close to those without the backup lights, but I cant find a picture. Replicas & Miniatures Co.of MD. also does Packard tailights--I have a set someplace in one of my parts boxes--too much junk, too many things to do and too little time. I wish they would get a website too, but the catalog is fun to go through and Norm is good about getting it to you fast. I am going to place an order with them soon--then I can start another parts box that I can never find when I want it.

Yes you were sir....and thank you again for playing!
Yeah, I've got to send out a snailmail to him for his catolog...I'll fire it up here in alittle bit...heard he's got some real neat stuff in there too. Thought I saw a scott blower set up for a flathead..that'd be neat....wonder if he has an old McCulloch vari drive supercharger{pre-paxton...paxton just went to a fixed pulley size and lost the vari-drive pulley...except for the badge, they're identical}.
