I started this one a while back but ran into paint issues, after 2 months the darn paint wouldn't dry!...just stayed tacky, and that was .. well .."tacky"! One complete strip down and repaint later{turned out better anyway!} and here we are.
To put a happy ending on this I'll post pics here for all to see and comment or critisize, or whatever. This was the Deals Wheels "the van" kit origonally, but as most of you know I have a hard time leaving things alone...this is, yet again, one of those builds!{hey- I'm consistant if nothing else- right?}

I simply wrapped a sheet of flat sheet around the top and then added 1/4 round for "helmit" trim, already sanded the top set of louvers off and kept the back hatch but made it shorter. I took the machine guns from a badly chromed red baron kit as well as the spike and decals. You'll note the engine access door is different from the one in the kit...well, while trying to dry the 1st paint job over a heater{yeah yeah yeah, I know-now} I warped the origonal engine cover and luckily nothing else. So, I made a new one...that's why it might look different to you if you have the origonal kit near by.
The bumpers are from the spares boxes - 1/25 scale '32 ford...they fit pretty nice , huh?
Hope you like it and that it will inspire you to try something different too!

Really well done! I thought it was a straight OOB build until you described your process, then I could see it, and realized that this is all you-- one of a kind.
Keep it up.
Thanks for posting.

You know, I thought about that but those lines are rather shallow and wide and I'm not too sure it would turn out neat and clean...I suppose I could try it though.
