Revell 1/12 Shelby GT500 - my favourite muscle car.
All brush painted using Revell enamels and Tamiya acrylics.
Not great photos, but the light is terrible at the moment and I had to take them by a window!

Lovely job Dave, great looking Pony.
How did the kit build up? I have been thinking about getting one of them for a while now but haven't read any reviews.
Cheers, D

It builds up really well. I didn't notice any ejector pin marks in awkward places, no fit problems at all. Even getting the body shell over the chassis was a piece of cake.
Just have a big shelf ready - this is 15" long when finished!
Damian & Jesper, thank you for the kind comments.

LOL.......I don't even own an airbrush, and at this time of year rattle cans outside is a nono! I only use artists grade sable brushes and look after them. A couple of mine are about 4 years old, The shop I bought them from closed down about then. There's 2 coats of acrylic undercoat and three coats of gloss enamel, followed by one of gloss artists varnish on this car. The first job of all after opening the box was to clean up the body and undercoat all the blue parts. Then I gave it the other coats in between working on the rest of the car.

Stunning job Dave, even more so that it was brush painted, especially at that scale. Beautiful color too

Thanks James
Just remembered one problem area, which is visible in the photos - the stripe decal around the rear number plate area needs a lot of care.......mine needed trimming and a touch up with white paint.

Brushpainted, WOW.
Really nice job.
I hope to get the same result with an airbrush.
