Heller kit in 1/24scale, built OOB except for stretched sprue ignition wires. This was an excercise in painting green!
All the 'metal' parts were painted in Revell 52 enamel, the body (fabric covered wood on the original car) is a mixture of Tamiya X5 and XF11 with satin varnish, the folded hood is straight XF11 and the upholstery is the Heller plastic painted with green ink and then satin varnish to represent leather.

There are a few pics of the engine and chassis...but I've submitted them for the Automodeller contest and possibly a feature.

This is wonderful work. However, isn't Revell 52 'Royal Blue'? I'm looking for something better than the standard 'Chrome' offered in kits hence the question. Thanks

Hi, you're correct - the paint is Revell 62 and not 52!!!!
If I need to replace chrome on parts, I use a laquer that I found in an art shop. It's called 'LiquiPlate'.

Dave, nicely done. Love the gloss green enamel paint.
