Very nice! I like the leaves, mismatched door, faded paint, rust. Great so far. I agree with you about the wheels.

So far it is just great... I love you're not abusing weathering; candy for my eye... I think the windows need a little "treatment" also I am waiting (impatiently) for next photos... Warm Regards and thank you for sharing.

thanks guys!

I did do the windows also, it's hard to get them to show up in the pictures until the interior is installed.

I use a light tan oil paint to dust them up a bit.

I may add some streaking on them later once this layer is dry.

Beautiful work so far, love it!
What technique have you used for the rusting and chipping?
Cheers, D

My technique is pretty easy, I paint the base color, clear coat like a normal shiny paint job. Next hit around with a small wire brush to make scratches and marks, Then brush on craft acrylics over everything, build up a few coats in your favourite rust color. When dry dampen a cloth with your tongue, and remove the craft paint leaving random chipping and rust. Go over with clear again. And add dust and grime using oil paints and blend it in. Also add rust color variation with oils. Go back over panel lines then spray dull coat for a complete flat finish and model can be handled immediately, or Leave dullcoat off if you still want some shine in areas. Just wait longer for oil paint to dry.

It takes no time at all this way

Great weathering. Looks like a "garage find" for a classic car restorer.
