So maybe stopping by a thrift shop wasn't my best choice, but they did have a bunch of model car kits. I went though more than half of them and none had decals. I'm sort of wondering if with all the trademark battles of a few years ago manufacturers just left them out, or did some thoughtful builder remove them to a drier place and forget to return them?
At any rate, are AM decals for racing cars; NASCAR, Indy, dragsters available?

Its possible the decals were bad and tossed out or the person may have used the decals on other builds.
Either way, after market racing decals are readily available and pretty easy to find.

Living in a 'wet' place like Seattle, I wouldn't have been surprised if the decals had been removed to drier storage.
By readily available, you mean some place other than Squadron / Sprue Brothers.

Thanks! More good stuff. Looks like I ought to have a decal set in mind (in hand?) and then see if I can find a car to match.

Hi Mark -
For nascar you can try Mike's Decals - as the name suggests....he has lots of sets, and quick turn around -
Good luck
Nick
