This is my first rally car, and it is in my opinion one of the sexiest designs ever!
I have tried to recreate the mud splattered car in action with the driver and nav in situ as seen in many photo's of the 1977 Monte Carlo rally.
I was worried about muddying it up and either over doing it or just messing it up in general.
Another first for me is the base with the wet muddy road.
I hope you approve.
Thanks for looking!

Hi Gavin.
Nice build mate. Those race and rally cars with 4 million big decals scare me, I have enough trouble with little stencils on aircraft. You've done a great job on this one, and the little base gives it some life.
A quick tip for you. In your gallery, instead of copying the "Linked Thumbnail" and pasting here, hit the little brown button to the right of the "Linked Thumbnail" and two more boxes will pop up underneath. Copy the "HTML Code" box contents and paste into the thread here.
Cheers, D

Gavin,
Very nicely done. While I tend to do all my car builds museum quality finish, I still appreciate a realistically weathered car. And to that end you certainly have achieved that goal.
The base adds just that little something extra and ties in the weathered model.
BTW, you really did quite a good job with those large decals.
