Incredible work James. Rust, dirt and weather beaten paint looks very convincing. Bird droppings, holes from missing sideview mirrors and Mustang logos are very nice detailes.

Could you tell us how you acchieved the heavy corroded look?

What's that supposed mean, kinda sounds one of those Geico Caveman Commercials....Just kidding.

James this is way cool, Scotts right the cars here in NY end up like that due to to salt. I love all the detail work, right down to the flacking/rusting panels, love the passenger side fender the best. Once again James great work

How was the rust done!?!?!?

I have been inspired by this and i am thinking about doing the same thing with an old jaguar xjs kit which i have lost some interior pieces to.

Any tips would be greatly apprieciated as i am a new modeller and this seems a rather daunting task for me to undertake! Also i was wondering how difficult something like this is to do???

to make the rust holes, i use a dremel with a cone grinding bit. and from the inside of the body thin down the plastic until holes appear. its that easy lol..

to give the rust some sort of texture i put a bit of white glue around the edges and sprinkle on rust color pastel dust and i use pastels for most of the weathering.

these are not to hard ot make considering there is no wrong way to make them lol.

Compliments on this one. The lower panel rust is superb. The bird droppings, the chrome rim and moons (on a junker), the tires in the cabin--- all classic stuff! Just an excellent rendition. Thanks for the pics.
