Tamiya have announced four release's at the recent 2011 Shizuoka Hobby Show.
1/12 BIMOTA TESI 1D 906 SR (14062)
When it was released in 1990, the Bimota Tesi 1D caused a sensation with its revolutionary hub-center steering front suspension. Tamiya's 1/12 scale model accurately reproduces this unique mechanism and includes an aluminum hub shaft and metal steering rods. The side fairings may be detached to showcase internal details such as the L-Twin engine.
1/24 PORSCHE 961 Le Mans 24 Hours 1986 (24320)
Based on the Porsche 959 supercar, the Porsche 961 was entered in the 1986 Le Mans 24 Hours race and achieved a notable 7th place finish among the Group C racing prototypes. Tamiya's 1/24 scale kit of this amazing machine features Snap-Loc construction and does not require cement for assembly.
1/6 Dax Honda EXPORT 70 (16002)
Together with the Honda Monkey, the 1969 Honda ST70 was a pioneer in the leisure motorcycle category. Known affectionately as the Dax due to the shape of its frame, this kit captures this bike's distinctive features, including the internally-mounted fuel tank and battery as well as the engine. Cartograf decals are also included to give this model a quality finish.
1/24 Honda NSX TYPE R (24321)
Honda's NSX made its debut in 1990 and two years later, a version specifically modified for track performance called the NSX Type R was released. This model not only reproduces the car's sleek form, it also includes photo-etched parts such as radiators and intake meshes for the ultimate finish.
