Infini Easy Cutting Mats
Infini Easycutting Mat System

by: Damian Rigby [ AUSSIEREG ]

Infini produce a small range of 4 cutting mats to facilitate cutting standard roll widths of masking tapes into narrower strips, simple shapes or curves, or complex shapes. This makes the task of masking a lot faster, simpler, and more accurate.

The mats are small (21.5 x 11.5 cm), and a lot more solid than the traditional cutting mats, but they have a system of fine grooves to guide the knife blade and maintain a neat cut. A very simple and very effective product, and by combining the various mats, a huge range of shapes and sizes of mask can be easily cut.

The basic details are as follows:
Type A (Item # IT-3001V1) for straight lines and rectangles
Type B (Item # IT-3002V1) for tight radius curves, triangles and squares
Type C (Item # IT-3003V1) for large radius curves
Type D (Item # IT-3004V1) for 45 and 60 degree angle cuts and various curved shapes

Markings are very clear and in mm increments, and the packaging has clear instructions and ideas for use.
SUMMARY
Highs: Well manufactured, simple to use, very handy, and well-priced.
Lows: None that I can see.
Verdict: Excellent product, I use it on almost every build now.

That's pretty clever. I usually use a ruler, but this looks to be a lot easier. Thanks for doing a review of this product D.

Hi Damian I hate to admit it, but I didn't check out your review until now, because I assumed these were standard cutting mats. They're clearly nothing of the sort! I've never come across these before, but a bit of "Googling" shows they've been available for a few years. I don't know how they slipped under my "radar", because these look like they could be really useful. Thanks for highlighting them - I think I might treat myself to a set for my next birthday. All the best Rowan

Wife got me the A one for Christmas (based on my input of course), looks like a good quality but haven't tried it yet.

Great to see that some folks have checked out the review. These little mats really are a great idea and super handy to have at hand for any masking sessions. Also reduces the need to have a range of tape widths. Cheers, D
