Here is a bit on the club, mainly from their web site (found here. The official name of the club is The LONG ISLAND AUTO REPLICA SOCIETY ( L.I.A.R.S. Club ) Model car club. Obviously they are a group of modelers focusing on the automobile genre and they want to bring modelers with common interest together to keep everyone up to date and to show off the best talents. There are approximately 80 members, and they meet the third Thursday of each month. Models from members can be found in a number of magazines; SCALE AUTO, and MODEL CARS MAGAZINE to name two.
