Sitting down tonight to do some engine detailing. First off will be some pushrods ,these are from s/s tubing with re-purposed RB Motion fittings:


When it lets me post a pic I will.

Here are the pushrods. They are .030" s/s tube with RB Motion fittings for the solid lifters and pushrod adjustment parts:

I dunno what braided line and fittings you are describing....
We will get to that soon enough as there will be a ton of it on the fuel system for this bike.
Teasy-peasy with some handlebar detail:

Bitty-wits from page one into black. These are a gas tank cap , 2 fork bolts , another cap for something and 2 guage body's and an oil filter mount. I like to have these done for when the model needs them, they will be chrome:

Nothing new yet today, rehash:

Harley racers up to even today, dispense with the sheet metal and tubing of the pushrod covers. These would generally blow off during high speed all out runs. Exposed pushrods were the order of the day. I could set the solid lifters in my shovelhead , usually in about an hour for all four,
it took me 4 hours to fit the four pushrods on the model engine:

A little everyday , even if it's only 1 part:

Slow going, 12-18 hardware details added to the engine assy ,doesn't look much different:

No interesting comments being generated here, maybe a waste of time posting. Oh well , I like to see my work, here the tank and seat make it to final primer:

Some simple ,traditional modelling procedures result in 2 gauges for the model. An oil pressure guage and a fuel pressure guage. shown here back/front. These are less then 1/8" dia.:

Tubing is bent as much tubing is bent, with a tubing bender. This is one made by Robbe, mainly for the fuel lines on boats and other RC models:


This is an excellent tool ,slightly egg-shaping the tubing in the radius, however this is the nature of this kind of tube bending. Exhaust pipes will be fabbed as they are in 1:1 ,sectioning the tubing and joining the pieces.
