Thanks Mike and Richard.
Chain drama solved , a usable tool and system worked out. 1/32 scale Becker Cannon in first color. So I can put that aside and hit this afresh.
The inner primary drive plate gets some of the cool Archer weld beads , a little bigger this time:

As a competition machine , the hillclimber would go through a tech inspection prior to racing. The tech's want to see the welds done on any and all parts. No grinding or sanding. So the pipes get cool Archer weld beads:

Primary gets a cast aluminum finish:

Thanks KSO
Built that in 2010 outta Italeris WW2 Harley kit.
Stalled out on the HC here , some momentum building for the casting of the wheels and hubs , once that hurdle is overcome the Big Finish, wont be far behind.

Steve,
Lookin' frwd to how the rims, spokes, hubs and tires all come together. This is great for someone (like yers truly) with a couple of 1/12 bikes in the stash. Is your bobber in 1/12 ?, I've been wondering where to find a flathead motor in this scale.

Cheers
Dave

btw Excellent Great War vignette as well, any chance of viewing more pics?

The Bobber is Italeri's 1/9 WW 2 bike model. I have seen it in 1/35 and maybe 1/24 but not 1/12. TYhere is a build log of the 1/9 kit going on here in Armorama. 'Ypres 1914' is here:
