Hi guys. Just starting a build of this Tamiya Skyline GT-R. The inbox review can be seen at
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSBJP_8irpw

The kit arrived slightly damaged. Looks like it got crushed in the mail and the A-Pillars are slightly bent. Hopefully a little heat and those will straighten out. Other then that just got the mold lines marked on the body and getting ready for some sanding.

Continuing on with assembly of the chassis and engine. Kit is going together very well so far with no fit issues.

Shame about the A pillar. What I did with one of my bent A pillar is by epoxy gluing it to the windscreen.

Thanks for the suggeston. I got it straightened a bit using hot water and will likely glue it like you suggest as well

Continuing on with the Skyline build. Really liking the detail on this kit and its going together really well. Nice detail on the wheels and tires.
Got the engine, suspension and chassis completed. On to the interior next

Continuing with the Skyline build. Continuing to go smoothly.
Wanted to give it a "aftermarket" look so went with red front seats.

Finished up the Skyline tonight. Overall a nice kit that went together well with nice detail. There were a few things that could have been better with the kit;
- if supplying a clear hood it would have been nice to supply an opaque hood as well to give you the option of how to display the engine
- no chrome inserts supplied for the headlights....the buckets had to be painted silver
- headlights themselves were three pieces instead of just being one piece lenses
