The trailer was scratch built and it is 90% complete. I have to add more details and a bit more subtle weathering around the trailer. I tried to make it look somewhat outdated by design but yet have a kinda modern feel to the rest of the overall look. I decided on the mix color combo; has the trailer, had been painted unprofessionally several times during it's hard course life. Secondly, I wanted it to be different and stand out.

The tractor is an Italeri Volvo unit which, as usual, modified with certain scratch built parts and ready made parts.

Stunning build Charles, hard to tell it is a scale model and not the real thing in most of those images.

Just saw this and I must say, very nice. Unusual trailer for me as I have ever seen one like this in the states for a semi. Totally cool

Charles

Fantastic modelling. I don't think I have seen any more realistic looking models of any type. Looks just like the real thing and the weathering is faultless.

My idea for the trailer came from seeing a real trailer, used in one of the Baltic states. I don't remember which one of them but they used it to transport concrete sections. I just decided to switch the haul for steel plates. As someone once mentioned, that in certain situations, when time and money is of an essence, any transport would do, as long as it is capable of transporting the goods with damage. So a in most cases you don't need a specialize trailer or truck combo to transport thw goods. I have personally seen containers being blocked on trailer with wooden ties and and straps to hold it down. So for me, the daily intricacies of truck like works for me. This way makes it a more exciting way of modeling.

Charles,
Your modeling just continues to amaze me. I knew that this was a model, yet you could have still fooled me, it's just that convincing. Your attention to detail, & realistic weathering just sets it completely apart from most of the models (including mine) that I've seen.

You truly are modeling at a level that most of us can only dream about.

A big thank you Joel. Although I consider this very piece an, 'OK' build, I am pleased to read, that you liked it, regardless. Thanks so much for kind remark.
