Hello all,

I have decided to take a break from building 1/35th armour and get back into my F1 models.

I dug this reissue out of the stash. As you can see I have already started on the chassis. I'm thinking this is going to be a slow build. I am planning on doing as much detailing as possible through the build.

Thanks for looking!

Nice looking cockpit. Is this the 1/12 kit or the 1/20 kit?

Hi guys,

Small update. Got to working on the chassis yesterday and I did not like the front cross brace that is supplied with the kit...so I replaced it. Also seen in photos that the re-enforcement plate on the bottom of the chassis has round edges. Also it is in the wrong position. It should be flush with the front of the chassis. Also filled all the holes on the bottom.

Next I moved onto the frame that holds the gage panel and electrical switches and such...the first two pictures are how the kit comes....

The next one is of the modified and cleaned up version....

Next I moved onto the gage panel. The kit part is way to thick...so...I built a new one....

Stay tuned for more.....

Hello all,

Small update. Haven't really had time to do much work as of late. Life has been pretty busy. But here a few pictures of what I have been able to get done....

Chris,
Nice start to an old Tamiya 1/12 scale F1 Tyrell P34. Going to subscribe and follow your build with great interest.
So far the added details really make a difference.

Thank you. Will get back to the build when I get home. I am at Disney in Florida with the family.

I have wanted to build this kit myself for quite a while. My Dad built it when I was a kid shortly after the kit was released originally.

Hi guys,

Back from my vacation. I have a question. Did all P34's have "lightening" holes in the seat back? Some of the pictures I have seen have these holes....

Thanks in advance.
