Yes it is the Italeri model.
I'm not impressed with the colour and decals so l am researching the net or I might do a fictitious scheme.

I wouldn't see why not. It's a truck with two axles. It's completely garish! What is that?

I wouldn't think so, since doing that would eliminate a lot of trucks; but it's not my Group Build.

Not been on too much of late, and not done a group build for ages. So I am in.
I deice aircraft at EDI Airport and want to build a deice rig, so The Italia Iveco kit with some scratch building. I will upload pictures in the near future.

I've had a change in plans on my build. I'm going to do the AMT Mack Cruise-Liner instead with some AM - just not stretching this one.
This truck will be used for my tanker trailer and will have a theme - the entire tractor/trailer theme is based on this picture:

Nice choice. The Mack Cruiseliner (WS686S) has an ENDT 675 Maxidine engine. The engine & transmission should be gold (Tamiya X-12 Gold Leaf is a good match). This might help: 1977 Mack Cruiseliner Brochure, even though the kit is a 1975-76.
Oh, also since the truck has a Mack engine & transmission, the bulldogs should be gold as well.

I appreciate the info Jim. LOL, seems X12 is one of the four Tamiya paints I don't have.

I'm certainly not used to the quality of the AMT moldings.
Lots of filing, sanding, scraping, and even cutting to get things smooth. Definitely not the level of the armor I'm used to.
It does make use of the basic modeling skills though. LOL!
More done on the engine today. There will be many sub-assemblies due to the color scheme. I'll get everything cleaned up, subs and/or individual parts ready, primed, and painted then put it all together.

Gold Leaf on. Some detail parts installed too. The engine and transmission have a lot of texture.
Cut out a gap between the two filters - looks much better. Seems I somehow managed to lose their mount so it'll be a quick scratch to get it in place.
Haven't decided on the pulleys color yet - instructions call for gold, but I don't know....
Valve covers in the back are prepped for trying out AK's Extreme Metal Chrome. See how that goes versus one of those new fangled chrome pens.

I have been building sub-assemblys will post photos on the weekend.
One thing that has been bugging me is the rotator boom!
Searched the web and have not found this set up:-
The kit has this at full lift by two crapy cylinders mounted under the boom, no way to travel like this!
I am going to have to scratch build two cyliners and mount either side of the boom and the lift extention will need to be scratch build as well.
I have removed the cylinder mounts after this photo:-

Hi folks! Some great work going on here already, really good to see some big wheels on the forum again!
Here is the kit I planned to build here
I will put myself in the hands of the Group Build Boss (Mike) here, as I started this a few years back and did more work on it than I recalled. My original plan was to build this in US Military livery to sit beside my 1/24 P-47, but plans have since changed (as they do) and I am now planning to build it as somewhat of a "barn find" and play with some salt-chipping and hairspray techniques. This will mean disassembling, repainting and "damaging" a few panels and parts. Here is where it is at now.
If the project is too far along, I fully understand.
