With the paint cracking and having to strip the body, I will not be able to finish in time.

Gary,
Just a question for you. Since Damian isn't around much these days, are you in charge of the car campaigns? Neither this campaign nor the Porsche campaign has a ribbon for completing either or both of them.

Well folks, I'm not going to make it tonight. My plate is too full with my 3rd generation jet fighter. But the good news is that I made more progress on my Camaro in the last two weeks than in the rest of the year combined.

I am only in charge of this campaign and it does have a ribbon.

drabslab is in charge of the Porsche campaign. He has the power to add an image for the ribbon and award them.

I feel the same way! I made pretty good progress on the Brabham, though it doesn't look like much. I think it would be a strain to finish in time for a Garage Queens 2019 campaign.

Gary,
Thanks for the info. I can't even recall the last time that Drabslab posted an update to his build.

By the way, is there an official Garage Queens 2019 campaign yet? I can't even find the GC 2018 campaign either.

Gary,
I just went to the campaign page, and Drabslab isn't even listed as being signed up for the campaign, even though he did post a kit. That was the last time that we've heard from him.

The Campaign Mod is listed a Damian, but he hasn't been around for some time. I did pm him a few weeks ago about the ribbon issue, etc., and he said he would get one made, and try to spend some time here, but nothing as yet as he's plate is super full.

I would bring this up to the site mod but I have no idea who it is at this point.

Wait for Damien. I'm sure he will show up after the New Year's hangover is over.

As for the ribbon design, anyone can make one (50x20 pixel GIF file), but the campaign leader or the campaign manager must load it.

Gary,
While Damian hasn't posted, he's been here a few times this month if you check his profile.

As for the ribbon, no one but Damian can load one, so there's no point having anyone design it. And like I said, the site mod hasn't been here in over two years!! You'd think that Jim or Kevin would have noticed it by now, and made some much needed changes.

Ok folks, I'm back. Humble apologies for my lack of attention here, I have had the year from hell with family issues and work schedules and virtually ZERO bench time. Hopefully I have this basically under control now and can focus on some time for me in 2019!

Shamelessly copied from Gary, looks like the final state of play for this Group Build is as follows:

Done
-----
eMan - Trumpeter 1/24 Red Flag CA770TJ
Pave-Hawk - Revell 1/25 Subaru WRX STi
white_wolf_mk67 - Revell 1/24 Corvette C6

Enlisted (16)

md72 - 1969 Chevy Camaro
roman
SpeedyJ - Fujimi 1/24 Hino w/AMT Fruehauf flatbed trailer
spongya
tinbanger - Revell 1/25 Chevy Impala Police Car

I was thinking about a ribbon for this Group Build as something simple and able to be reproduced as I think running this as a year-long repeating would be a good thing. Something like this from Gary (earlier in the thread). Love the spider webs!

OR this

I see Gary is listed as Campaign Leader and the award is loaded up, I'm sure the ribbons will be awarded shortly.

I will also create a thread for the 2019 Garage Queen Group Build and get to work drumming up some interest.

Cheers, D

D,
Just great to have you back. You've been really missed. I didn't enter this campaign because I don't have any car Shelf Queens, but I'm following right along.

happy New Year my friend.

Good to see ya D!
Still haven't finished the 69 Camaro. but the paint is finally where I can accept it. Now just gotta touch up some details and do the fiddly bits. My early plan for Garage Queens 2019.

Oh, and I like the spider webs the best.
