D,
Thanks for sharing those 45 builds with us. All are truly excellent. They stretch from pure classic to totally mind blowing.

Thanks for sharing those builds with us, D! All of them a masterpiece of its own.

That blue/white Chevy in pic 9 - is the white a decal or is it sprayed? If it's a decal I imagine it's a horror to apply without a wrinkle or a flip over, if it's sprayed I imagine it's a horror as well to get the mask on without problems .... Well done, very well done!

Many thanks for the feedback folks, one thing I didn't mention is that a lot of the contributors are Gundam builders, this was their first car kit! The LHS has a strong Gundam community and on their Saturday build days they can have up to 25 or more sitting around a big bench all building and chatting. They also have a big slot car track, a couple of train layouts and a mini drag strip for community use.

The black car with green flames, and the blue car with white/pink flames that you mentioned, were built by Scott and Katrina respectively, the husband and wife team that owns the paint company "The Scale Modellers Supply". These two, along with the black car with yellow flames, were all done with the same mask set which is another Aussie product called Lazy Modeller Flamin Mask

Oh dear D, just watched that video and had a horrible idea.
How about adding a 'Flaming' group build to the group build list.

Ok I'm going to sit down in a windowless dark room until I get those crazy thoughts out of my head.

Great campaign that was run for the charity with some very imaginative finishes. I guess the gundam focus had of lot to do with that.

cheers

Luciano, keep the crazy thoughts right where they are, I was thinking exactly the same thing

These masks look super easy to use, and the options are endless for colour schemes. Image 10 in the feature (metallic green with yellow to orange flames) actually used the flame decals supplied with the kit! He said he had to fight them all of the way but they came out really nicely. I'm sure a few of us have kits with a variety of flame decals that could be modified for use on other builds.

Cheers, D
