Thanks Michael, Maybe it is the old guy in me, but why would anyone want dimmer headlights?

So you can put LEDs on the roof and at the grill.

Really nice work and I like the blue.

Beats me. But yesterday I was trying to drive to work in the fog (less than 1/8 mile visibility), plenty of fools out there with NO lights on at all. OK, I get the possibility of blinding yourself (buy the fog lamps next time), but if I can't see you coming, I can't get out of your way.

David,
Looking real good so far. The bottom of the chassis has enough variations of black to make those various parts just pop out.

Will you be adding any texture to the bed before the Flat black liner?

Joel

Thanks Joel, The effect is complete then, with the exception of the rotors that undercarriage is all one piece. I'm going to use a thicker paint mix and intentionally cause it to be grainy. I've used this technique before with good success.

Hi David,

Very nice work on the interior and chassis! Should be a good looking truck. I was in Southern California a few days last week and saw a few of these running around - look good in real life too

Cheers
Nick

Thanks Nick, I have a 2009 F-150 which is the base model the Raptors were born from. The Ford dealer a couple miles from can't seem to keep them in stock, there are a new batch there just about every week.

Rumor is that they are going to have a 7.3L V8 as well as the twin turbo V6 for mid 2020 model year.

My brother has a supercharged Raptor. He's been jealous of my 03 Lightning since I bought it new August 03. He may have a bit more power than me but I'm a hellofa lot faster.

Nice build btw.

Thanks, and as us Jeep guys say, you may be faster, but I can go anywhere. I'll pick the road we race on. LOL

Thanks David and Mark.

lol

The last time I wanted to go off roadin' I took my m1025 humvee.

The last time I WENT off roadin' I took a corner, hit a sheet of black ice and wound up 200 yards into a cornfield. Believe it or not but I made almost back onto the pavement before getting bogged down. At least my neighbor could pull me out from the road with his pavement queen durango. I've been in the mud more often with my lightning than most 4x4 owners ever will with their nice lifted, tricked out pavement queens.
