This is the kind of car kit to make me want to build cars. The molding looks great. Beautiful decals.

Excellent review Joel, and as Fred said, this is the type of kit that can draw in new Auto builders. It looks like it will go together with very little trouble, and with crisp details, and having such a complex scheme dealt with via an excellent decal set is the icing on the cake.

Cheers, D

Fred & D,
Thanks to both of you for your most kind words. The kit is really a modified Beemax Porsche 935 K2 that I built last year, and it was truly the highlight of my 2019 builds. Fit, detail, and accuracy was just simply amazing.

Rowan,
Have no fear. I've started the kit yesterday, and I'll be ready with my 1st weekly update this coming weekend.

Being a certified Porsche race car nut, this is going to be another very special build.

I have one of these also and am debating as to whether or not to make it one of the Apple cars. Classic Racing Resins makes update kits for various configurations and Indycals makes decals to support them. Sort of have misgivings about making the Whittington car because they were drug dealers. It is, however, historic in its own weird way.

i believe the rear window problem is from porsche's rule interpretation . the rules required the car to retain the stock rear window, for aerodynamics porsche simply added another , more streamlined window above the original one . parts n1 and h1 (one is misnumbered on instruction sheet)seem to be the same (haven't double checked yet) one for the stock window and one for the streamlined one . i can not locate a clear photo but i think there should be more separation .
