Jeep CJ

This is a Jeep CJ-2A, modified from an Italeri 1/35 scale kit. I used styrene to scratch build the tailgate (the military MB has none), the protruding headlight housings, and the windshield braces and mirror.

I don't often do a gloss finish, and at this scale, the panels are pretty small to buff anyway. Over black primer, I used Rustoleum brand gloss spray paint, matching a list I brought into the store of factory colors appropriate for a post-war Jeep. After that cured, I brushed on two coats of Future with a soft, long-bristled brush.

About Sean Hadfield (windysean)
FROM: WISCONSIN, UNITED STATES

I picked up model building and HO-scale model trains from my father. I've been working at it now for more than 45 years, always learning more. Although a self-proclaimed cheapskate, I always modify or add to my builds to make them unique and special (for better or worse, ha ha).
