About Luciano Satornetti (Littorio)
FROM: ENGLAND - SOUTH EAST, UNITED KINGDOM

Ok, firstly I build what ever takes my fancy however I mainly build 1/350 WWII era ships mainly cruisers and any aircraft. However my favourite aircraft being the mighty Beaufighter, Sepecat Jaguar, Hawker Hunter, Fw-190 and the Su-27 family. I also like wheeled armour like the Stryker and Centauro ...

Nice one Luciano! It looks like it was a fantastic show. Now I see what you meant by your comment about waiting to see great junk-yard builds - there are a couple stunners! There's masses of inspiration to be had among the builds showcased here, whatever area of auto-modelling one's into. Some of the trucks show wonderfully handled weathering. And it's great to see some dragsters! - they were hugely popular over here in the UK in the early '70s (Scale Models magazine featured them regularly), but I just haven't seen them in my local model shops for years. All the best Rowan

Lots of great looking models. Thanks for sharing Luciano.

Luciano, Thanks for taking the time to take all those pictures, and the effort to put together this presentation, It's much appreciated. Like Rowan, I was really impressed with the most realistic weathering on some of the big long haul rigs. The two original Cooper Super S Mini's really grabbed my eye. I had the pleasure to drive one just once, and they can corner unlike any other car I've ever driven. Then in the last picture in the upper left hand quadrant was a White Austin Healey 950cc Bug Eye Sprite. Just not sure what Mark it was. Talk about a true sports car classic. Joel

Rowan, There was plenty of auto kits on display, unfortunately I couldn’t take photos of the competition as that is held on the Sunday but I was only able to attend on the Saturday. The car barn find style diorama looked very impressive, I didn’t think I’d like the dragsters but I now find myself checking the bay to see what I can find, found a couple. Jesper, my pleasure. Joel, thanks for putting this together and posting goes to Andy (Betheyn) I just took the photos and sent them to him.

Great photos Luciano, many thanks to yourself and Andy for making these available to us! Some beautiful builds in there, and great variety. The Opel Blitz tray caught my eye, that is one of my (many) WIP kits. That 57 Chev Funny Car keeps eluding me, I would love to have one of those in my build queue but I'm not paying the top $$ plus ridiculous postage to get one from the US. As Rowan said, the top fuel dragsters (we also called them "rails") are something that you don't see built up very often these days. I went to quite a few drag meets with my father here in Melbourne many years back and still remember the noise and smoke and smell of the whole event. I would love to see one built for our "Strip, Track and Trail" Group Build. Cheers, D

Great coverage, Luciano! From mirror finishing to total loss cars, the show had it all! As stated already, the big rigs are standing out - I've been impressed by some! Thanks for sharing! Gabriel
