Author: Romanian painter and photographer Alexandra Pasca Base kit: Italeri 1/24 VW Beetle When starting this kit, Alexandra wasn't all to familiar with the intricacies of plastic modelling, hence there are a few finishing errors. Meanwhile, she improved a lot her technique in her first months of practicing the hobby. For this particular build, she envisaged the Beetle body as a canvas for hand-painting in her personal style, derived from Romanian traditional painting. The main color was MRP Orange metallic and the drawings / decorations were painted with small brushes, using Vallejo and Citadel paints. With all the beginner's errors, the model enjoyed a massive popularity on the main Romanian modelling group, winning the "Model of the Month" prize. Gabriel Szeitz in behalf of Alexandra Pasca
