About Jim Starkweather (staff_Jim)
FROM: NEW HAMPSHIRE, UNITED STATES

I started building models in 1971 when I was 6. My first model was a 1/32 P-40 Warhawk. Revell I believe. From there I moved onto the standard cars, Apollo spacecraft, and other kid orientated kits. I don't know what got me started on Armor. I must have seen a Monogram tank kit one day and said "Mom...

Guido, Beautiful work on your MENG truck! The F350 would be a great help for those who want to model Government and Emergency Services vehicles. Great video, Jim! That's a really nice MENG catalog.

Fantastic job on the F350, Guido. Very realistic. I like the window guard & toolbox. They add a lot of realism. Comparing it to the Euorpean Tractor (is that an IVECO Stralis?) is great. Peter, I agree with you on the EMS or government services vehicle. Seems like Fords are a popular choice. Saw one of these at a LHS the other day. They wantes $72 for it. I'll probably wait until it's been sitting there for a while then goes on the 50% rack! Jim

Guido, You could sell your window guard and toolbox to a company to cast and market as they would be awesome additions as MENG aftermarket parts. A lot of Government Services vehicles do have a window guard and bed toolbox. I know some modelers want 1/35 lightbars for their MRAPs and pickups. Jim, yes the price of the MENG F350 is a bit steep. I emailed Revell/Monogram asking them to make a F550 and they said they will look into it. Ironically, the #1 Finescale Modeler magazine survey want for cars was "emergency vehicles."

Hello guys, WOW .... what resonance many thanks. The “Window Guard” is CNC milled. I stand with a friend in Austria in contact, who will offer the rack. but I can make a small piece number by himself. @ Jim, that's the IVECO Stralis from ITALERI 1:24 scale which is also visible on the packaging of Italeri. Here some Pics. @ Peter, yes I have to offer before this "Window Guard" as an accessory kit over my boyfriend. I can create this kit Guards as well as in smaller quantity. The problem is but its shipping and customs in the USA. And here are the explosion drawings from Parts of the rack And the Milling Parts Best Regards Guido

Having the window guard and toolbox on sale would be nice. I don't have the MENG F350 and like Jim, I will wait for the price to go down as well. Also, if someone could make some lightbars in 1/35 scale, that would be nice also.

Peter, check this out Meng F350. Diecast Alley has them for $49.45! Jim

Thanks, Jim. Unfortunately, they seem to be out-of-stock at the moment. LuckyModels has it cheaper, but it's the shipping that may bite...and it's also out-of-stock there as well. It seems to be a popular kit so far.
