ordered decals for this one today, so I thought I would start on making some parts for it
heres th e seat, I used BMF, cleared with semi-gloss clear to give it a real metal look
scratchbuilt shifter from aluminum sheet.

some body work, and got it in primer today, it still needs a bit of sanding here and there.

Nice work James the paint looks great. What is your method of masking multi tone paint jobs. I ask because i have only tryed one and messed it up.

I use regular maskin tape, and once I put it on I spray a light coat of clear over it to seal the edge.

One thing I like about NASCAR builds,is you can take the body off and see those outstanding details like that seat!!..aother beauty off your bench James

The thing that strikes me is the amount of prep-work like sanding you do. That is the base and building block for such a wonderful finish.

thanks guys, I always glue the bodys on my Nascars, as I only like to add detail to the interior, no engines or underneath stuff lol
