I'm planing to do a British police Mitsubishi Lancer, either by building a 1:24 model kit or converting a 1:18 die-cast car.

But I can't find a source for the markings. Generics like police and such shouldn't be a prroblem. But the markings for the blue/yellow checkers is. So does anyone know anything that could be helpful for me or is this going to be yet another project that never leaves the drawing board?

Hey there Thomas, I've been a police car modeler(American) for about 10 yrs.and I have probably been to most of the sites that carry law enforcement decals..and I don't recall ever seeing those,my first thought was maybe jbot decals they're in Canada,but I didn't see what you want,however you might want to look around there yourself http://www.jbot.ca/polveh.shtml#3 their are places that will make them for you, you would probably need some good pics.of what you want and it might be a tad costly. Anyway I'll keep my eyes open and let you know if I find anything...B
