Hi guys after seeing some interesting posts on this campaign i signed up. The first pic is what i will be building it will be my first lowrider, the second pic shows the start of the replacement engine its a 409 big block with a small supercharger, i still have lots of work to do , still needs a starter, exhaust, fan, hoses, carbs and a lot more parts. All comments welcome.

Whats the serpantine belt(s) made out of. They look like they are tape wrapped around the pullies. They sure don't look like OOTB kit parts I've seen. They look good.

Thanks Scott, you are correct the belts are 3 layers of masking tape rapped around each pulley the pulley set came with round rubber belts belts are not round so i replaced them, the pulley set is aftermarket from The Model Car Garage as are the wires, oil filter and magneto.

Thanks Paul i really like to detail the engines on my cars, for anyone who doesn't want to buy aftermarket pulleys you can cut off the molded on belts and file the channels in the pulley yourself and than add your tape belts.

Hey Robert, nice engine! Looking forward to how this one will pan out.

Wish I had seen how you have done the pullys/belts before I started my engine; I'd have done that....very kool.

Thanks KoSprueOne, new post shows 2 pics with the engine about 90% complete i installed the plug wires, wire looms, starter motor, oil filter, heater hoses, scratch built carbs, air cleaners, fan and fuel lines. I tried to pimp it out as much as my parts supply would allow. All comments welcome.
