I was asked by my colleague, and honestly, I have no idea. I tried googling WWII German cars, but I gave up after a short time. Perhaps someone here would know right off the bat.
Thank you.

Are you sure it's German? I found a site with ton of convertibles from 1922 through 1949 and found no exact matches. Some Duesenbergs and Cords come close.

Nope,
it's a Maybach Zeppelin DS8 : http://www.seriouswheels.com/mno/Maybach-Zeppelin-DS8-Pebble-Beach-SA-1920x1440.htm
And here are some specs for it, pretty neat ride : http://www.carforums.net/reviews/makes/1317/1932%20Maybach%20Zeppelin%20DS%208.html
Cheers

Amazing. Those Germans might have lost the war, but they sure had the most stylish cars and uniforms
