James,
Lookin' slicker'n a gooses backside! Dude, HOW do you get such a deep gloss shine? Do you prime? With what? Enamel or Acrylic base coats/final coats? What do you put on top? How? Polish? With what?
If I can be a PITA, feel like a SBS on "Finishing?"
Mike

you have to prime everything. since some paints can damage the plastic if you dont! for primer i just use duplicolor, you can get it at any auto parts store. about 5 bucks for a big can!
for paint i use krylon, which is an enamel. i used to use duplicolor paint also but there prices went up a lot! so i stick with the cheapest stuff i can find lol so i only use duplicolor if i need a metallic color.
for clear coat i normally use kyrlon crystal clear, but on this car i simply wiped on 3 coats of future with an old t shirt.

there not that big! its only 1/20, if i built those 1/12 ones i would have no place to put a finished model! lol
and ya just an old white cotton shirt! works great, you need 3 coats to really get a nice shine. wait about an hour between each

Hi Jesper, Those small soft clothes that comes with any new spectacles can also serve this purpose & is also great for applying rubbing compound & waxes too.
James, your 126 is fantastic. I have this kit in my "to do" stash too, which unfortunately is back in Singapore while I am here in Tanzania.
Can't wait to get my hands on it to start it off.
