I'd like to add more detail to my modified stock car model interiors, but don't have enough clear information. I was wondering if anyone here is familiar with this. (When you think about it, people are more likely to see the car interior than the engine compartment on a display model.)

I used to race eons ago{stock class}, and from what I remember of them, the late model and the super lates ran sheet metal dashes with the needed gauges put in plain site for the driver...we stockers usually just yanked the dash entirely and used a toggle switch for the ignition on/off.
