Just so you don't feel too bad, I had the same toy car as a kid. I think one of my first modeling "projects" was to strip it with oven cleaner and spray it red.

Jesper I'm not sure why you're only getting red X's?

My memory of this toy is very misty, but I do remember it was one of those molded plastic toys-hollow underneath, with the tabs the wire axls fit through for the wheels. Probably a foot or so long. One of those things we sometimes remember then look for on eBay?

I have that kit....heck, I had that toy too{yeah, I'm that old too}...just got in from spraying a fresh coat of white on the kids tonka winnebego{my old one}.
