Ok, we have a slightly new direction here for the body...an older Swab rescue body. This will be a "new cab and chassis for the old rescue body theme". I really like the lines this Swab body has and wanted to integrate it with the cab...so I am!{hahaha} This a "walk thru body".
...the body will be relatively easy except for the rounded corners...and where to find the red round side lights...and where to find all the diamond plate sheet, and the needed spot lights....good thing "this" was the easy part!

This is an old...oh go read my reply to jim! ...you saw the frame didn't ya?...I just need to lengthen it 1 scale foot to get the wheelbase right{kinda knew I'd have to change it one way or the other}. Wheels will have to be Mack since I'm going to use a mack cab and chassis, but alcoa 10 holes are standard fare so I'll probably just use the old pete needlenose rims and tires{cheat where ya can!}.
...best get that boat off the table and start carvin' pal, or your going to have failure to launch here.

Hoping to have the Fletcher off the bench by the end of the month if the wheather cooperates.

Oh.
That red TIE fighter is a pretty cool project. You're using the TIE intercepter, right? What (2) Dodges? I only knew about the L1000. What engine are you planning on for the L1000? Sourkraut has a nice V903 that would go nicely.

Great idea with the red tooth brush bob and it's a lot cheaper than any part you would have to buy and it looks awsome, i have done this for small parts before but nothing this big, your build looks good so far.

Pretty bad , huh? I've got a custom mix that will top that, so I'm making this the base coat.

..what, ya don't need one now?!....actually, the next/last color will be far more sedate as it will be more subdued....{I dumped 1/2 a bottle of yellow into the remaining 1/2 bottle of that acid green...much better, now!}.

OK, after I cleaned off the shelves and found this forgotten relic, I jumped back on the wagon to...finish the wagon!
Scribing around the door windows and side windows done, fixed the divots in the roof{big waves!}, added cargo doors and cut out holes for the slam locks, added the wheelwell molding and lower trim, made a front bumper{next for that pick}, rounded the corners on the body, primed the cab{we're going with red this time per the kids}, and started cutting out the wheelwell trim, and walkway diamond plate pieces...to be alcad chromed with the extended front bumper. Did all the side lights in alclad and have the jewels ready to go in them...I might just amke it by end of the year...cept maybe decals.....
