Has anyone heard anything about the T2K rail campaign that was mentioned on another thread? I've been sketching out designs and stealing relevant crap from work since I read about it a couple weeks ago.

The scuttlebutt is that the T2K09 is holding til later in the year. I believe July was bandied about. The "What-if" campaign is gaining steam though. It's allowing T2K-type builds.

There is, too, the regular Rail Campaign, just now enlisting builders.

Stop, look and listen

Hpe you'll join,

Yep,

Murph & I are seriously thinking about waiting till the latter half of the year to do it. With the "What If" armor one getting proposed and hte Stop, Look & Listen that Murph put in for (that will allow almost anythig on rails) the Official T2K can wait a bit longer.

I'm looking at doing one for S,L&L as well as somehitng for T2K........

Quick question Cuhail,

For the Stop, Look, and Listen Campaign: Is this strictly for tradtional model railroading? Reason I ask is I have several 1/35th German RR cars/vehicles. I'd love to build one of my Infantry, Artillery, or Command wagons. Rules appear to negate the scale....(?).

"Scale will be any Rail or Armor scale. 1/160 to 1/22.5. Any aspect of the rail transportation genre is applicable. From a N-Scale lineside shanty to a F-Scale Heavyweight Observation Coach. Rail armor in 1/35 is fine as well"

Consider me enlisted. The scales threw me off....duh...1/35th does fit in there doesn't it?

Thanks Matt....sorry to pull the original question off track.

Yes, let me explain.....there is too much, let me sum up...

The Stop, Look and Listen campaign will allow anything that has a foot in reality as far as railroads go. There's no era restriction so WWI/WWII Railarmor, which actually ran in real life, is totally acceptable.
Even some fantastic stuff is allowable as long as it is based on real railroad operations.

For example: a 1/35 Dora, which ran on two sets of tracks, really existed. Go for it.
For example: A train-based Tranformers robot did not actually exist and wouldn't be seen in real rail ops, so, no to that.

Road names can be real or freelance (made-up), but, what you are building, regardless of scale, has to be based on usable, realistic Locos, rolling stock, buildings or lineside structures.

Hope this clears things up.

Can someone please explain this explanation?
Think I'll wait on the T2K campaign since I'm not into rail road stuff.

Hey, any of you guys ever read the Vamipre Earth series by E.E. Knight? There is a train used by the Reapers in the second novel. That's the one I'm drawing up and planning on building for T2K if and when it comes around. There are no pic's in the book so I'm just sketching from the description in the book.
Anyways, just a thought.

Real railroad I can understand, what exactly is the T2K stuff then? Are you talking T2K would be a railcar with twin E-100 turrets, or what?
