Hello everyone, my first post on this paticular site. I signed up on the armorama site a while back just haven't posted much. I figured I might as well so some of my work. I finished this one a year or so ago now. It is the most detailed build I have finished so far, have another in the works that is more detailed but it is coming along real slow. Anyways here are the pics.
Thanks for looking.

Looks clean from the photos.
Is that PE up front or decals?
How did you handle the interior esp. the padding on the roll cage?

Yeah, nice work! I'd love to see some in-progress shots of the current build.
Welcome to AutoModeler, too!

I'm not much for NASCAR, but this is certainly a nice, clean build.
I'm assuming you used PE for the grille and possibly for the hood hinges?

Thanks guys, this one has won a couple of first places and best race car at the shows I have entered it in. So I am pretty proud of it, I guess that was the reason I posted it here first. To answer a few questions:
1. Yes, the grill work is PE. If I remember right from model car gargage
2. The interior roll bar padding on this one was just painted black, on some of my newer builds I have used heat shrink tubing heated up on a piece of brass to size it correctly, cut and then put into place.
3. The hood hinges are actualy made from sheet styrene cut out and with a hole drilled in the center. I used fishing line to connect the hood to the body. Melted the ends with a heated up exacto blade to keep it from falling out.
Also I just noticed the pictures don't show the hood braces I will see if I have a picture with them installed.
As for what I am currently working on, I am trying my hand at a M1A1, which actully how I found you guys through Armorama. I do however have a couple of race cars in progress. I will post pics of those to.
Not a very good picture but you can see the hood hinges installed.
