As my first car model in 20 years I'm going to try airfix's MG Magnette K3. The box calls out oxford blue.
But I want to try the #17 car that won the ulster TT in 1933. I think it was british racing green so do you guys or gals have any recommendations for brg paint?
Thanks in advance
JP

Wouldn't Humbrol #3 Gloss Brunswick Green do the trick?? It might be a tad dark, but if you are not worried about the "exact" BRG then that should be a good starting point...
I had in the back of my mind that BRG wasn't an "exact" color, so I googled it and sure enough there are as many BRG's as their are people worrying about it...
According to this color chart http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/colorcharts/stuff_eng_colorcharts_humbrol.htm
Tamiya X-5 and Gunze Sangyo H6 should be compatible...
HTH!!
Cheers!!

No indeed it is just a dark green. Ease of application is more important to me.
Thanks Brian

You can also try TS9 British Green from tamiya. Yes, this is a spraycan, but it's a good spray can

JP, my dad built an AAR cuda and painted it BRG. The color turned out nice, but it took a lot of coats.
