Ok guys here are a few ideas for our next build, since i have several ideas i think we need to take a vote on it. Below are the ideas i have please let me know what you think.

1. Rat Rod build all the rules will be the same except motorcycles will be included.
2. Road warrior build, any style of car used in any of the movies. Car need not be an accurate look alike just the style and feel of any of the movie cars any year, this could be really fun.
3. Daily beater build, any car, light truck, van or motorcycle foreign or domestic any year. All vehicles must show wear and be just a little beat up but street legal.

All builds will be 1 month that should be enough time for all to finish, if there is a tie guess who gets to break it I will be shooting for a start date some time in mid to late March but we can adjust that.

Great build idea esp. the Road warrior build option.
But I'm involved with other projects already to commit to a one month build.

Tough call...The dailey beater build sounds good, but so does the mad max theme.
Per the madmax theme, does it have to be close to the movie cars themselves, or can we make our own{possibly lefthand drive models}

Bob the car need only have the over all feel and look of the movie cars left or right hand drive is fine, glad to have your input. If we do this build i may do a left hand drive 55 chevy.

Sorry Robert. No way on this one for me. I have 11 aircraft campaigns, 1 train, 1 scratch build, one armor, and possibly 1 armored RR to do this year.

But, if ya'll do decide to do another build......don't do the road warrior one. Wait till next year to do that one so I can join in.

I like the road warrior idea but I think it would take a lot of scratchbuilt parts to build one and I am just too busy to do that right now. I may build a bobber type Harley or Triumph if you decide to go with the first option though. Maybe do the road warrior thing later in the year?

Gary glad to have your input, i agree a road warrior build may be more work i am leaning towards the beater build as that should be an easy one and you can build that bike in that build or a rat rod build it would work for both. If i can get just a little more input from those who may want to build in the next week or so if not this build may have to start at the end of March or the first week in April but that's alright to. Keep those opinions coming.

While the madmax one would be easy for me since I have two of those kits, I'd toss my official vote for the daily beater.
It'll give us all the madmax thing to do later.....just my thoughts/2 cents.

I agree Bob the road warrior build could be saved for later, my vote is for the Daily beater that makes 3, Gary you can build that bike as a rat rod daily beater because most rat rods can be driven and usually are that would give us 4.

Hey guys, Im up for the challenge. The rat rod build sounds nice since I didnt participate in the previous one. I just recently purchased a revell 1950 ford F-1 pick up truck, that should fit the theme.

Glad to have you along Hunter to do the rat rod build we will need a few more votes for it but if we do the daily beater build your truck would fit wright in after all most rat rods are a little beat up and are driven daily.

Went to my obscure LHS{part flower shop/part model shop} and found it was getting out of the model business...everything was 40% off. So, I grabbed{among other things} the lindy '61 chevy ragtop with the 409...don't like the rims{lowrider wires}, but I have plans for the rest of her for our build! Wish it had a "top up" option!

Nice score at 40% off Bob that 61 is perfect for what looks like the beater build, the 15th of this month i will add up the votes although it looks like the beater build to me unless something changes. I am leaning towards a 55 Chevy but you never know.

The voting is now closed and the winner is The daily beater build for those of you who would like to join in with a rat rod you can as log as it's street legal you know it must have fenders, hood window glass all that good stuff. The rules are below and the start date is April 1 2009 one month build should be very interesting. This build lends itself to a lot of creativity so above all have some fun with it.

1. Any light truck, car, van or motorcycle and year.
2. it must be used and abused but street legal and a daily driver.
3. At least one license plate should be mounted some place.
4. When posting your build put some place in the title Daily beater build.

That would also work great Bob, i am going to use the old AMT Joker goon car it's a 1977 Dodge Monaco 4 door perfect for this build, i will replace the chassis and engine using the Revell dodge daytona they have much better detail.
