well i finnaly have an airbrush! lol, I thought I would do a bike to practice with the airbrush since its smaller stuff to paint lol.
I wanna add a bit of custom look to this one, maybe something you would have seen around back in the mid 80's
painted the wheels with candy purple, its nice and subtle and really pops in sunlight!
and the green on the body, that's right outa the airbrush no clear!! I find the thinner you can make the paint the smoother and glossy it ends up!.
I'm also surprised how little paint I used so far from the one little jar, I got enough left to do another bike! should save some $ no more 8 dollar spray cans !

Nice work, James,
Cannot beat the older bikes
I have some of this paint myself but cannot get the thinners to match in the UK. I will have to try Humbrol or white spirit to see if I can get a similiar finish to yours
Keep posting your progress!!

Why don't you use some alcohol or ethanol?
I use ethanol and it works great.
You can also use it as cleaner.
Erikssson.
P.S. The bike looks great.

gauges done, and inside of the fairing painted black.
will mask off and shoot the green tomorrow hopefully
I dont think alcohol will thin enamel? it only works with tamiya acrylics
I just use paint thinner from the hardware store. big jug for 4 bucks.
