For a groupsbuild, a little contest on a Belgium forum, I finished my Chevy Nomad.
It's the first time I used an airbrush, the first time I did two-tone colors and the first time I used Bare Metal Foil to finish the chrome.
Hope you like it, because I do

Those old Chevys never die! Beautiful job on this one!!!! I've never seen that front Bumper type of extension before, is it a custom piece?

It's the one that came with the kit.
So I don't know if it's custom.

Looks great Erik. A wee bit of black wash to bring out the panel lines, would make it even better.

I can give it a try.
Never done that before, but why not?
I used washes on my tanks, I don't think it's very diffrent.

Great build! I really like the color scheme, and the Bare Metal foil came out great, especially for your first time.

As previously mentioned, it's the kit piece, meant to replicate the stock filler panel. I built this kit when it first came out, and I remember the panel being a fiddly fit. You really need to massage it to pull the front bumper just a wee bit closer (1/16" to 1/32") to the body...but yes, it's stock. If you Google some images of a '56 Nomad, you'll see it.

Printer's Ink works great also, I usually use a Dark Umber for panel lines and around bolts and fittings on engines, transmissions and other items. Really makes 'em pop out. The ink is available at such craft stores as Michaels and Hobby Lobby.

R.L. Howard thanks for the info.
I normaly use oilpaint, also Dark Umber en Black thinned with syntetic thinner.
