Revell-Monogram has responded to the wishes of the truck modeling community by reissuing two very popular kits: the Kenworth W900 Snap & the 1926 Mack Bulldog tanker.

It will be really nice to see the old Mack Bulldog back on the shelves soon!

That KW snapper was one of the first big rigs I ever built. I might have to pick one up for nostalgia's sake.

It's a decent kit. I have the 1990 reissue heading to the bench shortly. It's molded in some God aweful orange, so I'm hoping that this reissue is in white, and not green. Revell-Monogram got the hint on the Peterbilt 359 snap.

I'm thinking of adding the Mack AC to my collection for something different.

I mainly build muscle cars, but that Mack is really something. A must have.
Thanks for the heads up James.

Is the Kenworth actually a Snap kit?

I just figured this was the Revell USA version of the previously released Revell Germany version. Something to match the Peterbuilt they released last year.

Both AMT and Lindberg have some cool trucks and trailers coming out later this year as well.

James, I generally go by Jim. And only my grandmother called me Jimmy.

Scott, yes the Kenworth W900 is a snap kit. It's a decent kit. I built one a long time ago, and I have one scheduled to hit the bench soon. Tires, wheels & engine are the same as the Peterbilt 359 snap kit.

The Lindberg Dodge L700 is already out, but the combination kit with the tank trailer should be out soon. I haven't build any of their trailers, but I haven't heard many good things about them. One good thing about the tank trailer is it can be made into a tank for a straight truck, so that's kind of cool.

Yes, AMT is reissuing the Freightliner Dual Drive COE , the International Transtar 4300 Eagle , Peerless Logging Trailer , and the Fruehauf Flatbed Trailer.

Yes and Lindberg also has a Peterbuilt 359 coming as well

I have the L700 and flatbed with the '40 Ford.

They are coming out with the same truck with a Chrome tanker, Skelly tanker, flatbed with crushed cars, and a cargo trailer.

All the same truck on them however....but oh well.

The AMT kits should prove popular and reduce the insane prices on EBay that people want for those kits. Should be brisk sales at the my shop here once they are out!

I forgot about the Lindberg Peterbilt 359. Thanks for reminding me. Their 359 is in 1/20 scale, so I really had no intention of getting one. Those other trucks were supposed to be out last year, but they keep delaying the release date. No idea why.

The flatbed is actually the floor of their 36ft van.

I been wondering why do they make snap models because after you put them together you never can get them to look any where close to real, but then I guess they are a lot more easier to put together then a glue model.

The Snap Kenworth W900 & Snap Peterbilt 359 are probably some of the best snap kits I've ever done. They're reasonably accurate & and (amazingly) quite detailed. Granted, the 8-bag suspension on the W900 is a little simplified & the tires suck on both kits, but there good kits for the price. I've seen people do some amazing things with the Peterbilt 359. I guess because it's relatively inexpensive people aren't affraid to hack away at it.
