Here is my entry for this campaign.
I figured that I would build another police car to go along with the one that I built for the "Emergency Vehicle" campaign. However it will be awhile before I get started on it. I am in the process of finishing up two other campaigns at the moment. I usually only have one project going at a time............however I am afraid that I had to give up my normal practice!!
Thanks,
HARV

Nice choice Randy
Any ideas on ribbons yet, Rudi? (no, I'm not rushing you!)

Thanks James. I am hoping that it will turn out alright. I guess I could do a review of it at the same time and share it as well.
I am already paranoid about painting the two tone paint scheme. It won't be as easy as painting the whole thing olive drab!!
Thanks again.

Can I still enter?
And can I build in any scale?
I still have got to build a 1/16th scale VW 1951/52 or the same one with sun roof.
Erikssson.

Hi James,
Should have some pics and WIP comments up soon - although I won't be entering it in this campaign. It'll be for the KSC (remember that nasty? If not your desert camo Stalker will remind you ). I'm not sure what I'll enter for this campaign. No ribbons yet either, but it's on my "to-do" list
Hi Randy,
Awesome kit selection. A 1/35 scale Veedub is pretty rare - who's the manufacturer and is it still in production?
Hi Erik,
You absolutely can still join! Welcome aboard - just sign up on the campaign page and we'll look forward to following your build. A 52 rag top in a kit must be pretty hard to come by - all I can find is '66s. Is that an old Revell kit? I recall they had some great old kits.
Rudi

Rudi
Both the kits are older Revell kits. Called "The Classics"
The VW Käfer 1951/52 is a 1991 kit and the VW Käfer Sun Roof was released in 1992.
Both kits are identical, exept for the sunroof. You can sometimes (it's hard to find them) find them on E-bay. The Sun Roof is very rare
I'm thinking of building them both at the same time. The reasone is that I started them both a long time ago and never build further. Both are build for about 7% so there is still a lot to do.
Erikssson.
P.S. Now on E-bay http://cgi.ebay.com/Revell-1-16-VW-KAFER-Beetle-1951-52-07488-MIB-1991_W0QQitemZ140303885138QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item20aac36352&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1205%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

Hi Rudi,
Thanks. The kit manufacturer is AeroPlast. I got the kit from Squadron Mail Order. Squadron has two different AeroPlast VW kits available.
Thanks,
HARV

Hi Guys.
I thought we started the 1th of july?
Do we start a topic in the Cars section?
Titel "Aircooled groupsbuild Nickname"
Or any other suggestion?
Erikssson.
