Let's get started.
In my garage I've got a modeling shelf and there I saw two kits ideal for this campaign.
Both are in 1/16th scale and from Revell (Germany).
Kits where released in 1991 and 1992.

The first kit I'm going to build like if it was brand new.
And the other one, 50 years later and rusty, with a worn out interior.
Now i'm going to search for a little info about colors and details on how they looked in the fifty's.

I just love that rag-top bug Looking forward to following you progress and seeing how these build up.

Do they have under-bonnet detail (i.e. spare wheel, tool kit, fuel tank) and full engine?

They have all the detail you could wish.
Flat-engine with gearbox, ignition coil, air cleaner, distributor and carb. Detailed exaust system, underbody, independent wheel suspension and steerable front axle.
Spare wheel and jack, fuel tank and level plunger.
Detailed dashboard with a flower vase and so on and on....
This is due to the scale - 1/16th.
I hope to get a clean build and some nice cars

Hi Guys,

been a while, sorry for that.
To much work at home and at work.
Start building the engine, but it's not that good.

As you can see there is a seam vissible on the cilinderheads and some ejectormarks on the enginehousing.
So I have been working on it, but must still take the pictures.
They will folow soon.

Grtz Erikssson.
