My nephews are restoring a 1968 Chevelle. They would like me to build them a model of the one they are restoring. I've managed to find a kit for almost every 1960's Chevelle but 68. Is there a kit avalible for this year? If not what is the closest year the AMT 1969 Chevlle or the Revell 1970 looks the closest to what they have in the garage. If someone has a 68 kit they no longer want, I might be willing to buy it from them.

Not a lot. The taillights are different and the side windows have differences but other than that it is just trim in a few places.

As previously mentioned, the biggest differences are the grille, taillights, and the rear side marker lights. The '69 grille had a distinct horizontal splitter bar and the taillights were redesigned to eliminate the "wraparound" of the '68 lights. The new taillights meant that rear side marker lights were added to the '69 model.
There is no currently available kit of the '68 Chevelle (IIRC, nobody ever kitted a '68 Chevelle, but AMT had the '68 ElCo). You're in luck, though. The Modelhaus has a conversion kit for AMT's '69 Chevelle that will allow you to backdate it to a '68. It comes with new front and rear bumpers, taillights and a new dash, all for under $20. You can find it here.
