Whatever happened to the ERTL moulds for their farm tractors and equipment from the 1970ies???
I can remember building the International 1466 Turbo, the Massey-Ferguson and John Deere tractors, as well as the trailer and 6-bottom plough. These were some of the first kits I ever built.
Why won't they dig out the moulds and re-release them?? I am always looking for them at swap meets, flea markets, yard sales etc...

Ebay...it's the only place I've seen them. Hopefully AMT will eventualy rerelease all the kits they once had out...and maybe even finish that garbage truck they had started eons ago!

I got a reply from Round 2 Models, who have secured a 10 year lease on AMT's moulds. They might consider re-releasing a few subjects and see how sales go. Let's hope so.

They're off to a good start with the new rerelease of the truck and trailer kits...slow at it, but it's a good start. I see more of this...in time.

Considering Round 2 has basically a staff of about 6-8 people that do everything from designing new kits to unloading the truck when it arrives....I would say they have done pretty well considering.

Can't wait to see what goodies they will be announcing for 2010 at the IHobby show in October
