I'm considering a diorama set in Roswell, New mexico around the time of the Roswell UFO crash and I'm having a bit of trouble with references.
Can anybody tell me what sort of tractor trailer might have been in use in New mexico by the US Army in 1946 or 1947 ?
The type of trailer should be of the "lowboy" variety.
Fotos would be ideal as I think that I'll need to scratch build what I'm looking for.

I know this is the "Trucks" forum, but I bet if you posted your question over on Armorama those guys might be able to help you out more than we can for military vehicles.
Good luck,
Jim

I would recommend something from the WWII period. That early in the post war years, most vehicles would have been intended for war use. In many instances, war production stopped almost immediately with the end of the war.
It might be interesting to see a heavy hauler like a Dragon Wagon with UFO effects on it. Most likely it would be the unarmored version though.
