I've been away from building for a couple years. The past few weeks I've been able to get back to building.
I resurrected this from a garage sale find. It was partially assembled and painted when I got it. It had sit for a couple months in Castrol SuperClean and was cleaned off just before I stopped building . The paint that the previous builder had used crazed a few parts especially the cowl area.
The bed was unsalvageable and I had some diamond plate that looked a good size for 1/25th.
Anyway, enough back story. Here it is:
I need better lighting in the workshop, sorry.

She looks mighty sweet! The color is right on, and the hubcaps are a nice touch. I wish Round 2 would reissue this kit...hint, hint.
Are those the stock tailights turned on their sides and mounted to the bed?

A fine resurrection and cool subject. Where do you get the scale diamond plate?

Thanks Yoni and KoSprueOne,
The cab is a semi-gloss Russian Army Green, no shininess on a work truck for me. I didn't have any truck or trailer lights, so I did what any 1:1 scale builder would do when you are working on the cheap and trying to get it done ">quick. I thinned the stock taillights down to paper thin and glued them to the rear crossmember.
The styrene diamond plate came from the LHS a couple years ago for a Jeep rock crawler project I never got started on. I'll see if I can find the packaging for a brandname.
I'm going to see if I can get some better photos today.

Thanks Bob and Jesper. It would be neat if they would re-release it and the 4x4 version would be even better. I've got the AMT 1979 Bronco re-release to do as the one I owned in the mid 80s. I'm going to have to find some spares to detail out the engine bay as those kits are rather sparse.
KoSprueOne,
I could not find the original packaging the d-plate came in. I just have the remnants in my flat stock box.

Toss a few bales of hay in the back along with a dog and it'd look just like my neighbors truck. Really nice work David. Even better knowing it was brought back from the dead.

Well, it IS a Ford, after all.

If it was a Chevy it would have just died and stayed there. LOL

Now, now. No Chevy vs Ford vs Mopar flame wars! I was just voicing my appreciation for the - how shall I say? - ruggedness of certain Dearborn products.
