I haven't got the money to buy any new kits this month and out of boredom I have decided to rebuild the Pete into a class A Motorhome. I am going to try and scratch build the interior as well and have a removable top to display, or I may make the top clear.

Yeah hermon...it's only been one day - he'll nail it by next week probably!
Neat redo idea! Now, is that a tub/shower combo? Interior access is by cab only?...I don't see any door but I doo see a "step" by the fridge. Nice slide out wall for the hide a bed sofa...not the rear queen bedroom wall too?
32" TV over the dinette...come on...you know you'd want a 56"!...maybe ceiling mounted drop down?....
I'd need a coffee maker by the RH side of the sink...unless your planning on instant coffee{shudder!}.
Where's the ladder going to be for the b.o.c.?
So, really...this just a model or the proposed retirement home for you?

How are you going to make the roof removable? Maybe sliding it in from the rear down a couple of U shaped channels (sort of like a horizontal garage door)?
I've been wanting to do a couple RV's but never have been able to figure out a couple issues like that. One that I've wanted to do was to convert a regular box truck into an improvised rv. I thought about doing this one as a diorama set out in the woods with some hillbilly living in it.
The other one that I'd like to do is the 1986 Fleetwood Bounder from the show Breaking Bad. If you haven't seen the show, 2 guys strip the interior of the Bounder and convert it into a mobile meth lab.
Hopefully your build will get me to moving on my hillbilly RV
John

I am planning to use clear plastic to make the roof. I will still have the overhead roof racks and all. I got the bathroom and the slide out almost done.

Yes, this is really coming together.
Upon closer examination of the tech drawing for this project, I cannot locate the designated model building bench anywhere

I will have to give this one some thought. Great idea I might add.

One's going in mine when I get it going. I bought a set of 1/350 SBD's to build one and partially build the other for the bench.
Any idea what scale that would work out to be? Something like 1/20?

Great idea, and on that modelling bench you could have a model of this model, and on the modeling bench inside the model of this model you could have a . . . . I have a headache !!

A hollowed out area in the ass end of that rig would be cool. We had a camper like that a few years ago and it was perfect for carrying two four wheelers and such. A little golf cart would be neat as well.

Thanks again. Got the wall coverings and the kitchen done. The windows and screens are ready also. Painted the overhead cabinets and floor also. I will be stripping the old paint off the cab next and get it all ready for the exterior paint. Then the final assembly and on to the added surprise to go with this one.

  After rechecking my scale, I found that I miscalculated. So, I tore apart the motor home and started over. I now have the scale proper. I also added three more inches to the rear of the chassis ans this is allowing me to fit all the components that I want. By scaling down the bed and furniture there is a lot more room inside. I am also re[doing the cab. I added a sun visor and modified the front bumper and placed the headlights on the fenders and molded them in. I will have a few pics up soon showing my re-progress.
